The Confession
GIST of the letter : The letter is about a son confessing about something to his mother. He wrote a letter to his mother about him being gay about that he feels happy who he is, and he wrote the letter to his mother so that he wouldn't feel guilty of hiding his true self from her.
INTRODUCTION : In the beginning Michael feels insecure of his true self. It feels that he should tell about himself. He feels that feels right to tell her mother about it so that he should feel of hiding something from her.
BODY : Michael feels ashamed about himself find he's homosexual and when he moved to San Fransisco, he felt that he's home because San Fransisco is full of homosexual people and people don't judge others.
BODY : In the letter the social reality is that is you are gay or homosexual you should not be proud of yourself because people believe that there's only male and female. But its how people are starting to express themselves, but are opressed by the society.
CONCLUSION : To help people like Michael, you should change your view on how people express themselves and instead of opressing them, it's better to accept who that are as a human being not on how they classify themselves.
